T.I.M.E.S. – Local qualification
General
On Thursday, 12th of December 2019, the local qualification of T.I.M.E.S. is taking place, the largest Europe-wide case study competition for students of Industrial Management and Engineering. During this event we determine the team, that will represent the Technical University of Berlin at the semi final of T.I.M.E.S..
The semi-finals will take place in the beginning of the year 2020 at another hosting university in Europe. The final will be hosted by the University of Minho in Portugal. The winning team will be awarded the title „Industrial Engineering and Management Students of the Year“. All travel expenses of the Winning Team will be covered.
Procedure
On the 12th of December the local qualification will take place at the Technical University of Berlin. After a brief introduction, the teams have to demonstrate their abilities for the first time. Each team has a processing time of three to four hours for solving a realistical, practical case and presents its results to a four-member jury. The jury consists of professors or scientific staff, alumni and representatives of Arkwright Consulting AG. Afterwards a get-together offers space for talking to other participants and jury members in casual setting. Catering is provided throughout the event.

Requirements
Please note the following requirements for participation in T.I.M.E.S .:
- Students of Technical University Berlin (Industrial Engineering)
- Registrations can be made as a team (consisting of three or four people) as well as an individual.
- Good English skills (case study and presentation in English)
The case study is designed so that it can be solved without previous knowledge, experience and tools. The focus is on the creative solution of realistic problems. Therefore, as well freshmen as Master’s degree students are welcome to register.
Application
Team application: All team members register via joint registration. Please determine one responsible person.
Individual application: Please register as responsible person. Teams will be formed by combination of individual applications.
Team applications are preferred.
